Program Evaluation: What, Why, and How
Wednesday, February 12, 2003, 2:30-5:00 PM
MOCHA, The Museum of Children's Art, Oakland, California

Pre-visit and follow up materials can greatly enhance the value of a museum visit. How can museum educators create materials that teachers will actually use? Participate in small group discussions and gain valuable insights about the process of creating exciting, relevant, and useful pre- and post-visit materials.

Anne Jennings and Nicki Norman from Community Resources for Science (CRS) will share their expertise in weaving connections between the needs of individual teachers and the existing resources in our community.

Education Specialist Gail Ellis brings 25 years of classroom teaching experience to The Oakland Zoo. She will talk about the process of creating post-visit materials for The Oakland Zoo School.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their own pre- and post-visit materials (or works-in-progress) for review in roundtable workshop groups.
