Program AnnouncementServing New Audiences: Wallace Grantees Tell Their Stories Join our panel of museum and cultural professionals to learn about their efforts to reach new audiences through their participation in the Wallace Foundation's Excellence Awards Program. Facilitator John Killacky, Arts & Culture Program Officer at the San Francisco Foundation, will lead a discussion about lessons learned and larger issues/themes raised in the collective work. Together we will explore strategies for how to reach new audiences and apply Wallace trends, research or evaluation data to our own work. Slides from the presentations are available at slideshare:

Program
Starting at 4:30 PM, participants are encouraged to select one of two special tours being offered to Cultural Connections participants: an architecture tour or a Dateline 09 exhibition tour. The architecture tour will focus on Daniel Libeskind's design, the symbolism found in the building, and the historic 1881 building. Dateline 09 inaugurates a new series of exhibitions that provide a forum for the Museum to respond to the latest developments in today's rapidly changing world. The exhibition will feature presentations of work by two of today's leading artists--photographer Adi Nes and video artist Yael Bartana. Dateline 09 is on view from January 30, 2009 to March 17, 2009. Please share this invitation with anyone you think might be interested. We have transitioned to ALL e-mail flyers. Save the Date for our Next Program: Thursday, February 12, 2009 - Wallace Foundation's San Francisco Excellence Awards |
