Aaron Pope
Biodiversity, global warming and clean water were common topics around the dinner table during Aaron Pope?s childhood in Berkeley, and instilled in him a lifelong commitment to the natural world. Aaron holds an Environmental Studies degree from UC Santa Barbara where he co-founded the student-run Environmental Affairs Board and held several conservation internships. His love of the outdoors took him to Lake Tahoe, where he worked as a river rafting guide, editor and writer. In 2000, Aaron returned to the Bay Area as project manager, helping to develop educational software. Now at the California Academy of Sciences, Aaron splits his time between content development and managing green practices.

Shawn Rosenmoss is a Senior Environmental Specialist with the SF Department of the Environment (SF Environment), with a specialty in Grants, Fundraising, and Community Partnerships. In addition to granting out $1 million annually to Community Based Organizations for their work in Zero Waste and Environmental Justice, she is responsible for developing funding sources for many of SF Environment?s cutting-edge projects and programs. Rosenmoss currently spearheads its Green Stacks Partnership with the City?s public library system, a multi-dimensional collaboration that covers sustainability across collections, programming, facilities renovations, and operations and maintenance for all 28 branches.

Prior to joining SF Environment, Rosennmoss ran a circus (really). A former dancer and aerialist, Rosenmoss holds a BS in Electrical Engineering and a Secondary Math Teaching Credential. She sits on the Boards of the Artists in Residence Program at the SF Dump and Flyaway Productions Aerial Company and has created an Implementing Green organizing tool being uses by schools and non-profit agencies around the State.
