Thank you for your interest, and please save the date for our next program: Wednesday December 12, 2007 - Feast of Ideas: School Programs Jim Spadaccini of Ideum and Ethan Wilde of Mediatrope will present case studies of projects that bridge onsite and online museum visitor experiences in new and interesting ways. Join Jim and Ethan to discuss the opportunities and challenges of creating interactive media that extend the visitor experience beyond the museum's walls?from social networking tools for teens and art-making for toddlers, to personalized collections scrapbooks. An opportunity for audience questions and networking will follow the presentations. More about Jim Spadaccini: Jim is the founder and creative director of Ideum (http://www.ideum.com). Since 1999, Ideum has been developing media-rich experiences for museum and Web visitors across the country and around the world including electronic exhibits and interactive websites. Former Director of Interactive Media at the Exploratorium in San Francisco, Jim was a responsible for developing educational Web resources and media exhibits for the Museum floor. For his work at the Exploratorium, he received a Smithsonian Computerworld Award, an Association of Science and Technology Centers Award for Innovation and three Webby Awards for "Best Science Site." More about Ethan Wilde: Ethan is the founder and managing principal of Mediatrope Interactive (http://www.mediatrope.com). Founded in 1996 in San Francisco, Mediatrope designs and builds interactive Web sites, kiosks, videos, and exhibits for a range of clients including the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, Museum of Fine Arts Boston, National Museum of American History, Smithsonian American Art Museum, and the Statens Museum for Kunst in Copenhagen. Ethan has 20 years of experience creating solutions that integrate interactive and visual design with technology. He is the author of AppleScript for the Internet, AppleScript for Applications, and Scripting Adobe Illustrator. Ethan holds a B.A. in Architectural History from U.C. Santa Cruz and a M. Arch. in Architecture from U.C. Berkeley. He currently teaches Web development regional seminars and The Academy College in San Francisco. Program
